Thanks! You actually found that I had posted an "in-progress" version, rather than the correct one.
Since there may be some unusable files in the earlier download, it's probably best to delete the demos folder and unzip a complete new one, rather than just updating.
It's now updated, and I posted it as a zip file to make it easier for Windows users to use. I notice that Windows10 doesn't know how to open .gz files without help.
