Nothing. Does that mean that we shouldn't explore edge cases, and consider fully the consequences of syntax decisions? This is an important part of language design. I'm not sure what your point is...

Ah, I see. What you are all saying is "this is precisely why we must NOT implement it this way". I misunderstood. You didn't make that clear.

No, that's not what I was saying. I'll rephrase slightly. When changes to a language are proposed, it's important to look at the consequences, and the different ways that something can be used. If it can be abused, it will be. Sometimes the benefits outweigh the abuse, sometimes not.

This thread was one examination of the consequences of the current implementation of break.
