1. Plain DOS Internet Browser
Gentlemen:
I've been hearing in this forum many praises of the old plain DOS. Some of
you don't like the Windows GUI because the obvious overload that imposes on
the system. (As a good example, Euphoria is nowadays a DOS only
program--although it can run on a Windows DOS box).
After many hours fiddling and installing the best well known Windows
Internet browsers, (with so many problems --many of you should be aware of
this--) I've decided to give up Windows if I can find a decent DOS browser,
because surfing is the only reason for me to keep using Windows.
Does anybody know about a DOS Java capable browser?. I've heard rumours
about a launch from Sun, next September, of a Java OS that could run as a
only operating system on any 486 class machine. I don't know if this is
true, and if such an OS could solve the problem.
I would appreciate very much any information about this.

Which does exist. Maurice Randall is working on this project for the
GEOS/64 operating system, supposedly called "The Wave". He'll have a demo
out eventually. Extraordinary, isn't it?
