Hey Euphorians, I know this is spam but you have to see this. After you=20 read this you'll thank me. I know everyone is so senstive to the word spam=20 b/c most spam is crap. NOT THIS!!! This service has been covered by the LA=20 Times, USA Today, BBC, etc, with no mention of a phoney scam. Below is a=20 letter that I show everyone about it: How to Legally Make Money on the Internet =09A few days ago a friend of mine sent me an email about a company who=20 is offering a kewl new service. What they're doing is selling advertising t= o=20 companies, then paying members money to see the ads at the bottom of the=20 screen while they're on the Internet. The ads appear in a window called the=20 Viewbar. Members earn 50 cents each hour they're on the web, 10 cents for=20 each hour someone they directly referred (which is why I'm telling you), and=20 5 cents for each person, up to 4 levels, who was indirectly referred. So Derek, what's the catch? =09You can only earn a limit of $20 a month for your time (so after 40=20 hours you stop earning money that month). But you can still earn more than=20 that for the people under you. I guess they don't want lamers to leave it o= n=20 overnight. Also, you can't earn more for people under you than what you're=20 on. Say you're only on for 10 hours in June. Then you can only earn money=20 for the first 10 hours that someone you referred was on that month. So I=20 recommend being a lamer and leaving it on all night if you need to so you ca= n=20 earn as much as possible ; ). Finally, the third catch is that you have to=20 wait about a month before you can download the viewbar, and until then you=20 can't earn money. This looks like a pyramid scheme =09This is not a pyramid scheme. If you think this is you're only=20 insulting my intelligence. In a pyramid scheme you must send money, and the=20 person at the top makes all the money. This is not how All Advantage works. =20 First of all, it's free. Second, there really is no top person=85 it's a mo= re=20 complicated web. It also doesn't matter when you join or who you're under,=20 everyone makes the same. If this was a pyramid scheme, I would have deleted=20 it. How do they make money? =09All Advantage works exactly like TV or magazines. Most of the income=20 comes from selling advertising slots to companies. The ads are shown to th= e=20 user through the viewbar. All Advantage pays members this money as an=20 incentive to join. Obviously the more members it has the better it can sell=20 ads. How do I join? Go to www.alladvantage.com to join. The only thing that they'll ask for is=20 your name, email address, and address (where they'll send the checks). The=20 only thing I ask is that you put my id number when it asks if someone=20 referred you. My id number is BAX-063. Make the letters capital - it is no= t=20 bax-063! Please write this on your hand so you won't forget. Please take=20 the effort to do that in return for me showing this to you. I need people t= o=20 join under me b/c I only spend about one hour a week. After you join, wait for them to tell you when you can download the viewbar. =20 In the meantime, get people to sign up under you so we can both make money=20 for their time online. This still sounds too good to be true. =09Sure does. I'm a pretty skeptical person and certainly I'm not sure=20 that this will work out. Maybe they'll go out of business or something. Bu= t=20 I don't think it's a scam because there's no risk involved. It's free, and=20 all you have to tell them is your name, email address, and home address. I=20 don't think that can hurt. So that's why I'm giving it a shot. If you thin= k=20 it sounds too good to be true, why not just join to find out? I'm sure=20 everyone was skeptical about buying Ebay stock too ; ). And if you're still=20 not sure, read this from USA Today: Surfers getting paid to browse the Web USA Today--March 31, 1999=20 SAN JOSE, Calif. - Mouse potatoes, rejoice. A new company is offering Web=20 surfers 50 cents an hour for their time online. In exchange for the loot, th= e=20 Internet users must allow a bar of advertisements to move across the bottom=20 of their screen. AllAdvantage.com plans to launch the service Tuesday.=20 Members, who sign up for free, earn money anytime they are online and=20 displaying the so-called viewbar, which opens automatically whenever their=20 browser is launched. They can make up to $20 a month (that's 40 hours online= )=20 and 5 cents an hour when people they referred are browsing online.=20 AllAdvantage.com, based in Los Altos, Calif., is run by Jim Jorgenson, who=20 co-founded Discovery Zone children's indoor playgrounds. He said the company=20 will not sell, rent or exchange identifiable personal information about=20 members.=20
