1. Screensaver executable from Euphoria ?

G'day,
Has anybody/Does anybody know how to take a bound Euphoria program
and turn it into a Screensaver executable. (I'm using W95).

Simply renaming EXE to an SCR extension and placing it in the Windows\System
directory doesn't work.

Is there a trick to this ?

I apologize if this is an operating system question but it seems to me that
some of the Euphoria code fragments I have could make neat screensavers.

Alas, there's no way renaming the file to .SCR would work; first, you'd
have to accomodate for the switches that Windows uses to talk to screensavers
and secondly the Windows EXE format (let alone the API!) is fundamentally
different than DOS.

However, rumours abound of a Win32 version of Euphoria.

I believe now that RDS has 1.5 out of the way it
should be able to concentrate on the Win32 version of Euphoria.

Hmmmm.... Win32?.... Doesn't that mean that this machine which
is running Windows 3.1x will not be able to make use of the
Windows version of Euphoria. Doesn't Win32 mean Windows 95?

Oh... well..... :(

No, not really, though Windows 95 makes the best use of Win32. On the
internet or somewhere else (you might already have them) are something
called Win32s that can be installed in Windows to run Win32 programs.
Usually works, too.

Win32 could also mean Windows 3.1x with the Microsoft Win32's
extension. At least I hope that's what they mean or I'll be stuck
with the DOS version for a long time.
