1. Popularity of programming Languages

Most Popular Programming Languages 1965 - 2019
I don't know where the data came from or how accurate they might be considered; nevertheless, the presentation is quite cool.
Euphoria is not even represented!

A really neat presentation with some surprising facts. It's a shame Euphoria is dying.

Hi

Euphoria and python are very similar (sorry, flame war alert)
Python has a large user base because it has a large user base.
I prefer Euphoria.
Betamax was better than VHS. Betamax lost.
Never mind. Snowflakes look at me oddly now when I put a CD in my car radio.

Cheers

Chris

It's the same everywhere. "Best" seldom wins.

Ask 100 people where they ate the best hamburger, almost no one will say "McDonalds" - but the place they got that best hamburger has almost certainly gone out of business, while the clown remains, year after year.

This is so true; otherwise, we'd all be using Commodore Amigas...

A corollary to to this: if all you've ever had was a McDonalds hamburger, you may very well think it is the best.

Compounding the problem, when presented with a "better" hamburger, you're likely to insist that your McDonalds burger is still the best, since it is familiar to you.

This is why I, for one, welcome our AI overlords... programmed in Euphoria, of course.
