1. in two minds about irc

 Hi folks!

While an IRC channel could be a nice idea, I am more than a little
disturbed, because, given human nature, I'm sure
that would take a great deal off the content of the list. Companionship
and immediate feedback is one thing, but the opportunity to stay on
top of the traffic on Euphoria and be able to "find it all in one place"
is another. Since not everyone on the mailing list probably has access
(or reliable access) to IRC, or lives in other time zones, many would
be effectively excluded from the discussons. As far as I can see,
people from all over the world are joining the list, precisely because
its an *active*, friendly and buzinesslike forum. So far many are just
"listening in" while learning Euphoria, or just want to see what it
can do for them (I believe, a lot!), but eventually many more, including
myself, will begin to contribute.

Besides that, I have seen the demise of (admittedly only a few) mailing
lists due to "IRC separatism".
