David, Your version of the font dialog returns bold for normal and bold,italic for italic. Mine didn't do that. Also in the process of comparing version l with version n I noticed that explorer was working better with version n but now my DESKTOP verbage under icons are altered. I will have to recycle my machine in order to tell you for sure which one is the culpret. Keep you posted.... Judith
