Thank you Derek,

Your answer got me on the right track. I got my problem fixed.

Now, I have a new problem.

I have a program that I wrote "Deluxe Slideshow3" (a bound and unbound versions are in the Archives.)

When I run the bound version in Window7 everything works fine.

When I run it on Window8 it works fine except for one thing.

It dosen't associate.

I have it associated with a .jpg file.

On Windows7 if I click a .jpg file anywhere on the computer it open with DeluxeSS3.

Also if I click any extension anywhere on the computer and use the "open with" feature it will open that extension with DeluxeSS3.

With Window8 neither of these two actions work. Nothing happens.

Also with Windows8 if open DeluxeSS3 and open a .jpg file with it, then DeluxeSS3 works fine.

So don't think it's the program(DeluxeSS3.exe)

Any ideas?
