Agreed. However, fixing these posts up present us with an unprecedented challenge. They are mostly, but not entirely, repetitive, so a willing moderator has go go through and read all of them and single out the unique pieces in each. Ideally, then these pieces could be stuck together into a single post in a way that would look natural. I suspect that in practice, further editing would be required to comfortably segue the post. Once that's done, delete the duplicates.
Then we'd need a way to attribute the original author's text vs the moderator's additions. The fact that the original author used two separate accounts (EUWX and Steady) to make a virtually identical post doesn't make the job of inter-post ext attribution any easier.

So it can't be fixed so that the thread doesn't show posts from 5-14 years ago, even though they're totally unrelated to the thread subject as a whole? How did those old posts get attached to that thread?
It seems like a pretty major glitch in the forum software.
