http://sourceforge.net/projects/rapideuphoria/files/ doesn't say which file goes to which platform, the .zip gives error : unexpected end of archive, the download counters all say zero so something's wrong or no one is downloading, and http://openeuphoria.org/forum/107702.wc barfs it's guts out page after page.

That's silly SF.net for you. You cannot say which file is which platform, unless you rename all the files.

Hm. I downloaded it here on my Windows box and then on my Linux box. It worked fine (the .zip file) on both of them. No errors. Also, about the counters... back to good old SF.net. I downloaded each one myself about 3 times testing. The counters never updated, but all the downloads worked.

I'm not sure what it's doing. I download this on my Windows 7 box, then an old XP laptop I have. Both installed just fine.

Ok, i gave up on browsers, and used wget to get it, and it works, saved in c:\euphoria4a3\ directory not 4b1 directory.

Wait... You saved it there or it choose to save it there? If it did, you have the wrong file. It should have defaulted to C:\euphoria_40b1

Now it asks to save to C:\euphoria40b1. <shrug>

I installed Euphoria 4.0 beta correctley and all, but I keep getting erros when I try to run a program. Also, I'm Andy btw. It says cannot find std/graphics.e, which is odd as I didn't change the directories or anything. Also, I seem to have troubles running Eu 4.0, because there is no DOS support in this one. I'm on Windows Vista 64-Bit, so that is probably the reason. DOS does not really work under Windows Vista, unless you use a emulator. Although Eu 3.1 ran fine without any problems.

When installing the beta, it does not change the environment by default. This is to ensure it does not mess anything up with an existing, stable release. Are you sure your EUDIR, EUINC and PATH environmental variables not interfering?
I use Windows 7 and have not had an issue.
Also, can you please expand on what you are doing when you get "cannot find std/graphics.e", i.e. are you running eui and it shows that or a demo program?

Yes it will. So will the beta, but you must tell it so. On the last page of the installer before the install actually happens, there is an option to update the environment.

OK, I did and now some of the programs work. However none of the windows program work. I get an error that says no Euphoria code to execute. Win32 and win32lib programs do not run for some reason. Don't know if its a bug or something I am doing. I also cannot get the ed editor to run as well. Whenever I try to run it says error

OK, I'll add a bug report for that. In the mean time, you can simply comment the lines out w/sound() calls on them.

I didn't realize the binaries were renamed. I looked for "exu" and since it wasn't there, I figured I didn't have the binaries. I looked again and I do have eui, euc, ETC. Thanks.
